The purpose of this Cookie Policy is to inform you transparently about the use of cookies and similar technologies on our website domus-suisse.ch (hereinafter ‘the Site’), operated by the company Domus Suisse.

Upon your first visit to our Site, an informational banner notifies you of the presence of cookies and invites you to select your preferences. You can modify these choices at any time.

1. What is a ‘Cookie’?

A cookie is a small text file, pixel, or tracker deposited and stored on your terminal (computer, smartphone, tablet) when you visit a website. Cookies allow the website to recognise your device, memorise your preferences (such as display language), and collect information related to your browsing pattern in order to improve your user experience.

2. What types of cookies do we use and why?

We use different categories of cookies, which can be classified according to their purpose:

2.1. Technical and strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are indispensable for the proper functioning of the Site. They enable you to navigate the Site, search for properties, and use basic features (such as managing your session or memorising your cookie choices).

Consent: Not required. These cookies cannot be deactivated in our systems as the Site cannot function correctly without them.

2.2. Performance and analytics cookies (Statistics)

These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources in order to evaluate and improve the performance of our marketplace platform. They help us understand which listings or pages are the most popular and how visitors navigate the Site. All information collected by these cookies is aggregated and therefore completely anonymised.
Consent: Required. They are only deployed if you expressly accept them.

2.3. Functionality cookies (Preferences)

These cookies allow the enhancement and personalisation of the Site’s features (for instance, remembering your short-listed favourites, your property search criteria, or your chosen language).

Consent: Required. If you do not accept these cookies, some of these services may not function optimally.

2.4. Targeting and advertising cookies (Marketing)

These cookies may be set up within our Site by our advertising partners or through the integration of social networks. They can be used by these third parties to build a profile of your real estate interests and show you relevant adverts on other websites.

Consent: Required. They are only deposited with your prior consent.

3. Third-party services used on the Site

Some features of the Site rely on services operated by third parties. When such a feature is displayed, your IP address and technical data about your device are necessarily transmitted to the provider concerned, since that is what allows the content to be delivered to you. The table below lists every third-party service currently in use, what it is used for, and where its own privacy terms can be consulted.

Maps and your consent. The map is drawn by a script served from our own domain, which then requests map tiles directly from OpenStreetMap servers. Because those requests are built by the script as the map is drawn, our consent tool cannot hold them back: opening a page that contains a map transmits your IP address to the OpenStreetMap Foundation before you have answered the cookie banner. No cookie is written by this, and no advertising profile is built from it, but we prefer to state it plainly rather than leave it unsaid. If you would rather avoid it, do not open the map-based search pages, or block the domain openstreetmap.org in your browser.

We do not use any advertising network, and we do not sell or share your data with advertisers.

4. Retention period of cookies

Cookies have different lifespans:

Session cookies: These are temporary and are automatically deleted from your device as soon as you close your internet browser.

Persistent cookies: They remain stored on your device for a specified duration after closing your browser (in accordance with applicable regulations, generally a maximum of 13 months) or until you delete them manually.

5. How to manage and configure your choices?

You have several options to accept, refuse, or modify your preferences regarding cookies.

5.1. Via our consent management tool (Cookie Banner)

You can change your choices at any time (withdraw or grant your consent) by clicking on the [‘Cookie Settings’] link located in the footer of our Site.

5.2. Via your internet browser settings

Most browsers allow you to configure cookie management (block all cookies, accept only certain cookies, be alerted before a cookie is stored, etc.). Configuration varies by browser:
